Viero Decoratives presents Setae Lucensis at Lucca Fashion Weekend

Date

From May 30 to June 1, Viero Decoratives will take part in Lucca Fashion Weekend, an event organized by the Municipality of Lucca and conceived by Councilor for Commerce Paola Granucci, with artistic direction by Beatrice Taccini. For three days, the event will enliven the historic center of the Tuscan city with an intense program celebrating fashion, art, and culture. It promises to be a vibrant long weekend filled with events, meetings, and live performances, blending the luxury of major brands with the charm of local identity. Museums, historic cafés, streets, and noble palaces will be transformed into immersive settings, while workshops, ateliers, and studios will reinterpret Italian craftsmanship with a contemporary perspective.

It is within this multidisciplinary context that Viero Decoratives will present its vision on May 31 (5:30 PM) during a special event highlighting an intense dialogue between business, local territory, art, fashion, and culture.

A Tribute to Lucca on International Walls: Introducing Setae Lucensis

At a time when the latest trends are increasingly merging interior design and fashion, Viero Decoratives brings to Lucca Fashion Weekend its vision of the wall as an element of identity, creativity, and fluidity. Not just a surface, but an emotion, a story, a visual memory.

After all, the walls of the spaces we inhabit are an extension of ourselves—like clothing or accessories, they must be comfortable, inspiring, and reflective of who we are and who we aspire to become.

In an exclusive preview for the Italian public, Setae Lucensis, the new collection from the Made in Tuscany line, will be presented as a tribute to Lucca’s silk heritage. A collection that dresses spaces with the same care used to design a fashion line: textures, light, and tactile vibrations that turn walls into storytelling fabrics.

The history of Lucca inspired four wall finishes and a color palette, all of which will be showcased through an exhibition at the Real Collegio, located in the heart of the historic center and one of the city’s largest and most prestigious monumental complexes. This reinforces the deep connection the collection seeks to establish with Lucca.

In addition to the display of finishes—conceived as true emotional creations—a talk will be held at 5:30 PM to explain how the idea of using the creative space of the wall was born, to narrate, step by step, the sensations of a journey through Tuscany. Special attention will be given to the multidisciplinary work behind each collection and the approach of a company eager to engage more deeply with the surrounding territory.

The Lucca event will be a true crossover of design, fashion, and art. On stage, various voices will narrate Viero’s philosophy: business vision, material approach, and tailored project design. Attending will be Mario Pardini, Mayor of Lucca; Paola Granucci, Councilor for Commerce, Productive Activities, Innovation, and Urban Decor; and Beatrice Taccini, Artistic Director of LFW. Representing Cromology Italia will be Massimiliano Bianchi, CEO of Cromology Italia, and Matteo Beretta, Marketing Director. Elena Rosellini, Marketing Manager at Viero Decoratives, will delve into the concept behind Setae Lucensis, while Alessandro Siragusa, Technical & Customer Director at Cromology, and Gabriele Damiani, Technical Service Manager, will explain how chemistry and aesthetics must go hand in hand in a collection that dresses walls. A focus on the wall as a style and design element will be provided by Carlo Mazzolini, architect from Cromology’s Technical Office, and Leonardo Pelagatti, color expert from Cromology’s Color Design Center, who will present the new color collection.

Highly anticipated is the live artistic performance by Fabrizio Da Prato, a wall stylist and artist who will create a work of art in front of the audience, inspired by Lucca and silk, using the finishes and color palette of the Setae Lucensis collection.

Visitors will also be immersed in a multisensory installation: material panels, visual projections, and surfaces to touch.
